If you find a weapon you know you like early on, start pouring all of your salt and gold into that item to boost it as early as possible. If you start spreading out your upgrading resources across too many different weapons, you'll eventually find that your attacks aren't scaling all that well with the enemies you're running into. If you find early on that you prefer the attack patterns of a spear compared to something like a sword or dagger, stick with the one you like and try to specialize in it.Īnother reason that I suggest you do this is because when you begin upgrading your weapons, it's smarter to pour all of your resources into one single weapon in order to buff it to its maximum capabilities.
Each weapon you find is likely going to give you a vastly different playstyle. Note: Max level is 549, going up more than that level will just crash the game.You'll be picking up dozens upon dozens of different weapons across your journey in Salt and Sanctuary, but rather than using all of them equally, I suggest you find a select one or two that you like and sticking with them. Select the other character, the character will level up as many times the other character would have level up, but will gain negative souls, just die twice to get rid of it.
Select one character, in front of the altar, go to the exit menu, enlighten the ''Yes'' option, and then press fast X O X and hold SQUARE for 5-10 seconds (with this you exit the game but open the menu of the altar and again open the leveling option), you will hear the sound of the leveling menu if you did it right, press X and then press continue to load the other character.ĥ).
Leave both characters in the altar of a sanctuary (it doesn't have to be the same sanctuary, but it has to be one available/unlocked, doesn't work with some sanctuaries, like grave of the dead gods) Optional - defeat the unspeakable depth with at least one (the other way is farming salt enough to lvl up) Create two characters (not nessesary, but highly recommended)
